The increasing interest for environment save guard, defence and recovery, by people and environment and memberships, sometimes seems to be in contradiction with someone who has economic or other interests for environment and in environment (bodies, memberships, industrialists, economic operators, etc.).

The European Forest Institute rives for the environmental defence by satisfying in harmonic way the interests of everyone (protectionists, environment memberships and forest owners, wood industrialists, bodies, firms, wood firm is, municipalities, provinces, communes in a mountain area, etc.).

Tree is the only renewable first matter: one cut it and plant it again according a very advanced selvicolture rules, careful towards territory and environmental problems as well as job problems.
IS.F.E. has the main goal to protect environment also according to art.13 of L.349/86 and following modifications.

IS.F.E. reaches only goals referring to social solidarity.

IS.F.E. assures that its activity will never be occasional and temporary and it will always have a continuity trait.

IS.F.E., every year, will carry out a balance and a report.

IS.F.E. can nor distribute, also in an indirect way, management advantages and surplus as well as funds, reserves or capitals.

IS.F.E. will employ the management profits or surplus for the realization of institutional activities and those ones related to them.

IS.F.E., if it dissolves itself any reason, will devolve its patrimony to other not lucrative organizations with a social and public utility, according to the control body of article 3, comma 190, of the statute December 1996, n. 662, except for a different aim imposed by Law.
IS.F.E.  's aim u the promotion and realization of every initiative reaching mainly
- Environment maintenance, protection, restoration and management of European forest wait the carrying out of new a forestations and everything referring to forest engineering works and hill and mountain resources like pastures, meadows, hydro geological defence, prevention an fight to forest fires, promotion, planning and execution of everything necessary for these sectors;
- collection, preservation and trading of forest seeds, preservation of forest ecosystem biodiversity by means of forest seeds "criopreservation ", seeds bank realization and everything necessary for the aim;

- nursery and nursery, gardening activities, promotion, realization and management, above all forest and under wood   species;

-           collection, preservation, working, transformation of woods products (fruit, mushrooms, timber, etc.);
- working, preservation and trading of zoo technical, agroindustriale and handcrafted products of hill and mountain.

-           officinal plant cultivation with their usage, production and trading of the seeds;
- promotion and planning of actions relatives to farm holidays, fish and fauna farming’s, as well - as zoo technical wild and half-wild breeding (sheep’s-goats, cattle, pigs, equid, etc.);
- Carrying out of vocational training planning for the insertion of tlie present pupils in the job world;
- the training lessons will be referring to the membership aims;

-         master organization relative to forest and environment sector;

- assestment of environmental impact and monitoring studies about flora, fauna, environmental pollutions, water    pollution, forest fires, etc.;

-         promotion and development of hill and mountain tourism by collaborating or managing directly shops, agencies,  abodes, shelters, refreshments bars, and everything necessary for farm holidays, country tourism, mountain tourist and environmental tourism generally;

-         advice and cooperation for the development and realization of young cooperatives, firmis and enterprises aiming at   stimulating the employment;

-         projects planning, referring to its social aim, far reaching the reductions and the shares foreseen by UE Regulations  (2080, 2081) and also those ones foreseen by national, regional, pro-vincial and municipal provision for the development of young and women entrepreneurs and for obtaining their own funds;

-         promotion of european and cutside initiatives, referring its social goals, by starting relations with the Countries and Institutions (for ex with the World Bank, the European Bank and the African Bank, the Asian Bank, etc.) for realizing partnerships with Countries, institutions, firms and foreign enterprises;

-         carrying out of projects and direction of the work by means of its laboratories, offices and studies about everything referring to its social goal;

-         promotion, organization and participation to meetings demonstrations and exhibitions for achieving e very thing foreseen by its social goal;

-         arrangement and planning, for its members, of everything necessary for the issue of quality certifications or of DGC and quality marks ;

-         cooperation with all the italian and foreign institutions, above ail for what concerns environmental and forest sector and that is with Ministry of environment, ANPA, ANARF, Ministry of Agricoltural Policies, Ministry of Interior for, the Civil Protection, Ministry of University and Scientific Research, FAO, UNESCO, CNR, Environment Memberships, UF, etc.;
- membership and cooperation with membership companies, unions, cooperatives, bodies, institutions, firms, universities and research institutions;

-         waste collection and disposal in periodic and incidental way if it is necessary and or the need of achieving its social goal;

-         management of scientific thematic libraries relative to social goal.
